WHO Training

Andrejus Komiaga, head of the Hospital’s Farming and Food Preparation Department, June 3 – 6. participates in the training organized by the Ministry of Health’s Emergency Health Situation Center (ESSC) together with the World Health Organization (WHO) representative, led by WHO experts. During the training, specialists working in 22 health care facilities (HCPs) and ESSC specialists are trained to provide consultations to employees of other HCPs on issues of assessing the Safe HCP index. These trainings are one of the tools that will help improve the readiness of the Lithuanian national health system for emergency health situations.

The Safe SPĮ index determines the institution’s readiness to operate during emergency situations and shows the probability that it will be able to continue operations in the event of a disaster, paying attention to the environment and services provided by this institution.
